Ayah of the day

Allah does not charge a soul except [with that within] its capacity. It will have [the consequence of] what [good] it has gained, and it will bear [the consequence of] what [evil] it has earned. Hadith of the day

From the Forty Hadith of an-Nawawi

A real narration from the collection, with its number so you can check it.

Nawawi 1

It is narrated on the authority of Amirul Mu'minin, Abu Hafs 'Umar bin al-Khattab (ra) who said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) say: "Actions are (judged) by motives (niyyah), so each man will have what he intended. Thus, he whose migration (hijrah) was to Allah and His Messenger, his migration is to Allah and His Messenger; but he whose migration was for some worldly thing he might gain, or for a wife he might marry, his migration is to that for which he migrated." How to read a grading

Authentic, hasan, weak

  • 01Sahih — authentic: a connected chain with reliable narrators.
  • 02Hasan — good: slightly below sahih but acceptable as evidence.
  • 03Da'if — weak: not a basis for legal rulings.

AQLC shows the collection and the number on every narration, so nothing has to be taken on trust.

Live programme

One live class, every day of the week

With recordings, notes and a weekly open scholar Q&A.

Live now

Tajweed, tafsir, hadith, dawah and more

Nine recurring sessions a week: tajweed, tafsir of Juz 30, hadith studies, sisters' circles, children's classes, an open scholar Q&A, and a live dawah programme built for guests of any faith or none.

Trust & authenticity

For every claim, a source

Content is labelled by class — Qur'an, graded hadith, scholarly explanation, scholarly difference, educational material, or AQLC editorial — and carries its reference, review status and last-updated date.

How review works

Ask

Reviewed answers, and the questions behind them

Eight questions already answered, each with its evidence and the reviewer who signed it off.

Ask a question

Submit anonymously if you prefer. Questions pass to a researcher, then a scholar reviewer, then an editor before publication.

Open

Sensitive matters flagged

Where personal circumstances matter, the answer says so and points you to a qualified local scholar rather than guessing.
