Trust & authenticity
How AQLC sources, labels, reviews and corrects religious content — and how you can check us.
Labels
What each label means, and what it does not
Six classes of content, each with an explicit limit.
| Label | What it means | What it does not mean |
|---|---|---|
| Qur'an | The text is from the Qur'an, quoted exactly in Arabic and in translation. | It does not mean the surrounding explanation is itself revelation. |
| Sahih hadith | A narration from a collection where the strongest gradings are found, with its number. | It does not mean the grading has been independently verified by AQLC unless a reviewer is named. |
| Scholarly explanation | An explanation written or signed off by someone qualified in that subject. | It is not a fatwa for your specific situation. |
| Scholarly difference | Scholars genuinely differ, and AQLC shows the difference with the reasoning on each side. | It does not mean AQLC endorses every position shown. |
| Educational content | Material written to teach — courses, guides, explainers. | It is not a legal ruling. |
| AQLC editorial | Written by the AQLC editorial team, with its sources listed. | It carries no scholarly authority beyond its sources. |
Workflow
How content is published
- 01Author — writes against the published source standard.
- 02Researcher — verifies every citation against the primary text. A reference that cannot be confirmed does not publish.
- 03Scholar reviewer — required for fiqh, aqeedah, hadith grading and sensitive family questions.
- 04Editor — clarity, tone and accessibility, without weakening a qualification.
- 05Published — carrying its review status, reviewer and last-updated date.
Corrections
When we get something wrong
Every article, answer and hadith entry carries a report control. Reports go to the editorial desk with the specific claim and the source you believe corrects it.
A confirmed correction is published with a date and a note on what changed, and the content is re-reviewed. Content is never silently edited.
AQLC cannot promise that every entry is free of error. It can promise that every entry names its source, that a reviewer is named where one exists, and that a reported error is investigated and answered in public.
Independence
Money does not buy content
Donors do not choose what AQLC publishes, and no donor sees content before publication. Zakat and general donations are held separately. Sponsored projects are labelled as sponsored, and AQLC does not accept payment to endorse a product, a speaker or a ruling.
AQLC does not accept advertising on pages of a religious ruling.
